Responsibilities
- Assemble components according to specifications and blueprints, ensuring accuracy in measurements and alignment.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively to complete assembly tasks.
- Perform machining operations as needed to fabricate parts or modify components.
- Handle materials safely, including lifting, moving, and organizing items within the warehouse environment.
- Operate forklifts for transporting materials when necessary, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organized workspace, promoting efficiency and safety.
- Conduct quality checks on assembled products to ensure they meet company standards before final inspection.
Experience
- Previous experience in millwork or carpentry is preferred.
- Previous experience working in a truss plant is preferred.
- Familiarity with assembly processes and techniques is essential.
- Proficient in using various power tools and hand tools related to assembly tasks.
- Experience in machining or fabrication processes is a plus.
- Knowledge of materials handling practices within a warehouse setting is beneficial.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
