What are the responsibilities and job description for the Specialist, Computer position at CACHE COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT/ Canyon Elementary?

Qualifications :

The ability to learn basic computer programming and computer science principles so they can be taught to students in grades K-6.

A desire to research, learn and stay current with technology methods.

Must be able to work well with colleagues and students.

Must have clear communication and classroom management skills.

Comfortable using Google applications such as Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Calendar, etc.

Excellent organizational and computer skills are required.Job Description :

Use the provided curriculum to teach basic computer programming and computer science principles to students in grades K-6.

Use the provided keyboarding curriculum to teach keyboarding skills to students in grades 3-6 and administer the 5^th^ grade keyboarding assessment at the end of the year.

Implement good classroom management skills to create a comfortable and safe environment where students can learn.

Attend all computer specialists training meetings in the summer and during the school year.

Assist teachers in end of year online testing.
