Retail Antique/Vintage Sales Associate Job Description
Leading Logan Utah antique store seeking experienced retail sales associate to join our team. Cache Valley Antique Mall has been a Logan Main Street retail outlet for art and antiques for over four years. We are seeking a worker that has excellent communication skills with customers, is organized, motivated, reliable and honest. Knowledge or experience with antiques or vintage merchandise, online sales such as eBay or Facebook marketplace is an advantage.
Retail Sales Associate responsibilities
- Greet customers when they walk through the door
- Ask customers what they are looking for and show them at show them options to purchase
- Build rapport through conversation and honest recommendations
- Ring up sales and arrange for delivery or pick-up of the customer's order
- Invite customers to join our mailing list by signing up for our gift certificate drawing
- Inform customers of layaway policy, time to pick up purchased merchandise and specials underway
- Knowledge about how to research sold prices of online vintage and antique merchandise
Retail Sales Associate skills
- 2 years' retail sales experience preferred
- High school diploma/GED preferred
- High-energy, friendly personality
- Capable of interpreting customers' words and showing them products that meet their needs
- Basic addition and subtraction skills
- Basic computer skills including use of search engines and sales software
- Willingness to become antique/vintage merchandise expert
- Organize, price merchandise and cleaning in store when not helping customers
- Ability to photograph, describe and post merchandise to sell online is a plus
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $12.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 7 – 40 per week
