The Opportunity:
In support of the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and under direction from the Space Rapid Capabilities Office (SpRCO), your primary focus will be to provide innovative solutions, exceptional service, and trusted results. The Business Outreach Specialist provides business development expertise and outreach to internal and external stakeholders to help support SpRCO and their mission
Responsibilities:
As a Business Outreach Specialist supporting SpRCO, you will:
- Represent SpRCO at a variety of public functions through outreach/presentations/trainings in order to educate the space community about SpRCO programs, services, and other business-relevant topics.
- Strategically plan and execute event planning initiatives at a variety of public events to promote the mission of SpRCO.
- Participate in or lead projects to accomplish outreach events for internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide clear and productive collaboration with stakeholders and team members to ensure that the projects are successful.
- Research and identify potential traditional and nontraditional space contractors that can provide unique space capabilities.
- Establish and maintain relationships with space government contractors and stakeholders.
- Support SpRCO’s mission by providing insight and guidance into the business development process, including within the government contracting.
- Provide strategic plans and communications to help aid SpRCO’s contract processes and regulations
- Contribute significantly to the creation and implementation of business development processes to build SpRCO’s relationships and capabilities
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, or a similar discipline.
- Minimum of five years experience.
- DoD TS/SCI.
- Experience with business development within government contracting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster relationships that help to promote the SpRCO mission and goals.
- A clear experience in managing multiple tasks at once, providing clear priorities and time management skills
Desired:
- Masters Degree in business, public administration or a similar discipline.
- Prior experience working for SpRCO and/or the DoD.
- Knowledge and experience with the DoD strategic communications systems.
- Experience interacting with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to learn, educate, and execute processes that help support the mission of SpRCO
