The Opportunity:
CACI is looking for a Cyber Security Specialist to analyze regulations, and contribute to the improvement of actionable policies, and review technical requests and system architectures for compliance. This role requires basic experience in cybersecurity best practices, technical systems, and clear communication skills to justify recommendations and align with organizational needs. This position is based in Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD.
Responsibilities:
Review exception to policy requests for alignment to regulatory and cybersecurity policies.
Flag any discrepancies or deviations from those policies and work with leadership and requestors to resolve issues.
Provide recommendations on the application of security policies to unique situations and assist in the development and improvement of those policies over time.
Qualifications:
Required:
An active DoD Top Secret.
A BS in cybersecurity, information technology, computer science or related field.
Technical experience with cybersecurity.
Technical understanding of cryptographic systems.
Technical understanding of computer networking.
Familiarity with serial communication.
Familiarity with and experience interpreting industry standards such as those provided by NIST, CNSS, etc.
Experience and comfort communicating ideas and arguments in writing (papers and email) and verbally.
Experience with DoD cybersecurity practices and policies.
The ability to work independently and with a small team.
Desired:
Small team leadership experience.
Experience and knowledge of RF communications.
Experience with unmanned aircraft systems.
Experience with embedded system.
Experience with Android.
Knowledge of sensors and sensor packages (EM, LiDAR, EO/IR, etc.).
Experience with red team activities (penetration testing, threat hunting, etc.).
