What You’ll Get to Do:
CACI has an exciting and immediate opportunity for Cybersecurity Operations Controller(s) to support the USAF Network Operations Security Center (NOSC). This position works at the customer on-site Tier 3 support location at Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina.
Shaw AFB is conveniently located. A 2-hour drive to the north gets you to Charlotte, NC, to the east is Myrtle Beach, and Charleston, SC is to the south. You’ll have access to big city excitement, a quiet beach walk or small-town Southern hospitality.

More About the Role:
In this role you will:
- Conduct network security monitoring and intrusion detection analysis using selected security tools (IDS/IPS, firewall, proxy, router, Microsoft Windows, Fidelis, and HBSS logs).
- Research Net Defense issues to determine the need for deeper analysis and assess type and extent of intruder activities; record event data in mission support systems and produce Suspicious Event Reports for traffic meeting defined thresholds.
- Track trends for authorized and unauthorized activity.
- Correlate unusual and suspicious network activity and validate unusual network activity unique to regions and sensor locations.
- Provide site-analysis profiles to serve as benchmarks to identify unusual or suspicious activity.
- Update incoming crews on the suspicious traffic identified during previous shift.
- Provide focused network defense, tailored analysis, and monitoring operations for specified sensor locations during contingency operations and in support of operations and exercises.
- Help with network defense/cybersecurity statistical and trend data and operational event reporting.
- Maintain knowledge on new vulnerabilities and exploits. Develop methods to detect and prevent intrusive activities. Help develop countermeasures to isolate, contain and prevent intrusive activities and secure networks (to include IDS/IPS signature development and correlation rule sets)
- Track, document, and report security related events.
- Coordinate and track Information Assurance Vulnerabilities Alerts (IAVAs). Review and report compliance and develop Plans, Objectives, Actions and Milestones (POA&Ms) as needed.
You will also be required to:
- Provide oral and written briefs, presentations, and professional reports to Government senior leaders and decision makers.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
- Ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance prior to start date.
- Associates in related field and 3 or more years’ experience; OR 5 or more years of relevant experience.

Relevant experience
- Firewall, ACAS and HBSS experience
- Possess experience and demonstrate an understanding with installation of Microsoft Windows Server in Host and Compute Environments, and Windows Server 2012 using server images; Experience with implementation of storage solutions, window containers, high availability, Domain Name Systems (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), network connectivity and remote access solutions, core and distributed network solutions, advance network infrastructure, and maintain and monitor server environments.
- DoD 8570 IAT II Baseline Certification (Security CE or equivalent).

Completion of additional certifications.
- Network or CCNA
- ITIL Foundation within 60 days from start date
