The Opportunity:
CACI is currently seeking a database developer, with applied experience in designing, building and maintaining databases along with being responsible for the data tier of our applications specializing in writing and optimizing queries, to join our BEAGLE (Border Enforcement Applications for Government Leading-Edge Information Technology) Agile Solution Factory (ASF) Team supporting Customs and Border Protection (CBP) client located in Northern Virginia!

As a member of the BEAGLE ASF Team, you will support the men and women charged with safeguarding the American people and enhancing the Nation’s safety, security, and prosperity. CBP agents and officers are on the front lines, every day, protecting our national security by combining customs, immigration, and border security into one coordinated and supportive activity. The ability to be adaptable and to work constructively with a technically diverse and geographically separated team is crucial. This role is a dual-hatted role, experience in databases and experience in coding, preferably C#. This is not a standard database administrator role as we will be leveraging cloud managed databases such as AWS Relational Database Service (RDS) and/or Google Cloud SQL.

Required:
•Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to pass CBP background investigation, criteria include but are not limited to:
3-year check for felony convictions
1-year check for illegal drug use
1-year check for misconduct such as theft or fraud
•College degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems or a related discipline. Equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of degree
•7 years of technical experience
•A minimum of 5 years of experience in relational database development and administration.
•Experience in database migration, cutovers, extract-transform-load (ETL) processing, and change data capture (CDC) scenarios
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to provide expertise to support application team
•Strong written communication skills to document implemented solutions or workarounds
•Good understanding of physical and logical data modelling
•Capable of working in a team environment and collaborating with other teams like platform support, developers, production support etc.
•Experience utilizing performance monitoring tools to work with application developers to identify and correct inefficient database operations
•Database Migration experience strongly preferred
•AWS RDS experience
•Experience working with AWS tools
•Strong programming background for writing triggers, functions and procedures.
