The Opportunity:
CACI is looking for a Desktop Virtualization lead. This individual is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing an organization's virtualized environment, overseeing the deployment and maintenance of virtual machines using VMware, while ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and security.
Responsibilities:
Virtualization Architecture Design: Architecting and implementing robust virtualization strategies, including capacity planning, resource allocation, and high availability configurations.
Virtual Machine Management: Deploying, configuring, and managing virtual machines across different platforms, including provisioning, patching, and lifecycle management.
Performance Optimization: Monitoring virtual environments for performance bottlenecks, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing resource utilization.
Security Management: Implementing security best practices within virtualized environments, including access controls, data encryption, and vulnerability management.
Team Leadership: Leading a team of virtualization engineers, assigning tasks, providing technical guidance, and mentoring team members.
Disaster Recovery Planning: Designing and implementing disaster recovery strategies for virtualized environments
Qualifications:
Required:
A current TS clearance with SCI eligibility
BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Possess certifications as directed by DoDD 8140.x, such as CompTIA Security or equivalent
7 years of hands-on experience with technologies such as VMWare Horizon, ESXi, and vSphere
