The Opportunity:
CACI is currently looking for an Electrical Engineering Intern to join our team supporting Naval Undersea Warfare Center Newport for the Department of Defense for summer 2025. This position will be based in Crane, IN, with the possibility for a hybrid work schedule featuring four days in the office and one day of remote work.
Responsibilities:
• Support design and sustainment efforts for a wide variety of programs ranging from platform integration for innovative technologies, to microelectronics and electrical schematic / architecture design.
• Interface directly with Program Manager, Project Managers and technical team supporting the design and development prototypes and the analysis, test and integration of these designs.
• These activities may involve data collection and analysis, breadboarding or soldering of prototype circuits, schematic capture, and layout generation/manipulation.
• Additionally, the position will support identification and recommend methods of integration for the planning, design development and testing of electrical and microelectronics systems by collaborating directly with Project Managers and IPT members.
• Basic electrical engineering design (with instruction/guidance).
• Support integration and test events for various projects.
• Data collection, and characterization of circuits.
• Technical writing / technical reports.
• Recommending process improvements.
• Troubleshooting and problem solving.
Qualifications:
Required:
• US Citizenship is required with eligibility to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
• Currently enrolled in and in the pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university - Maintain at least a 3.0 GPA in major coursework. Exceptions will be made on a case by case basis depending on skills and passion.
• Ability to support multiple projects simultaneously.
Desired:
• An active DoD Secret clearance.
• Demonstrated experience with documentation, planning and organization skills.
• Experience with rapid reverse engineering techniques through prototyping and initial production sequence.
• Previous internship / co-op work experience.
