The Opportunity:
CACI is looking for an experienced Enterprise Architect Team Lead to support the mission objectives and needs of our customer, with work locations at several sites in the metropolitan Washington, D.C. area. The position is contingent upon award of the Office of the Department of Defense (DoD) Chief Information Officer (CIO) DCIO for Information Enterprise (IE) and Special Access Program Information Technology (SAP IT) Support Services Task Order.
The Enterprise Architect Team Lead will be responsible for developing and maintaining enterprise IT architecture while leading a team of architects and engineers in support of the DoD CIO. This role requires a highly experienced professional with deep expertise in enterprise architecture, IT modernization, and systems integration within the federal government. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership, strategic guidance, and architectural oversight to ensure IT investments align with mission objectives and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement enterprise IT architectures that align with DoD CIO objectives, cybersecurity frameworks, and federal IT policies.
- Develop architectural roadmaps, standards, and frameworks to support IT modernization efforts.
- Lead and mentor a team of diversely skilled architects and engineers, providing guidance on best practices, emerging technologies, and architectural methodologies.
- Assign tasks, oversee project execution, and ensure alignment with program goals and timelines.
- Oversee the integration of new and existing IT systems, ensuring interoperability, scalability, and security.
- Support cloud migration, Zero Trust Architecture implementation, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Collaborate with DoD CIO Leadership, IT teams, and external stakeholders to align enterprise architecture with mission needs.
- Provide expert recommendations on IT investments, risk management, and governance strategies.
- Ensure IT architectures adhere to DoD cybersecurity policies, acquisition regulations, and compliance frameworks.
- Support system accreditation, risk assessments, and enterprise governance initiatives.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Must hold a current Top Secret clearance and be SCI eligible.
- BA/BS and 10 years relevant experience. Additional experience may be accepted in lieu of education.
- Current DoD 8140 – Intermediate Certification
- Solution architecture, solution development, and architecture framework experience (TOGAF, DODAF, FEAF)
- Knowledge of DoD IT policies, cybersecurity frameworks (Zero Trust, RMF), and cloud computing strategies.
- Strong professional leadership traits, including experience mentoring, advising, and coaching customer and internal teams.
- Familiarity of DOD and commercial enterprise environments
Desired:
- Master’s Degree in IT Management, System Engineering, or related fields.
- PMP, ITIL, TOGAF, or CISSP certification
- Familiarity with AI/ML, automation, and emerging technologies relevant to DoD IT modernization.
