The Opportunity :
The Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) will provide the Department of the Air Force's contribution to the Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2). ABMS's systems of systems approach adopts the best practices of open architectures, government owned waveforms and DevSecOps to enable rapid proliferation of new software and hardware across the Department. DevSecOps and software reuse represents potential reduction in overall service costs for modernization and procurement. The systematic breakdown of elements of the systems deviates from traditional systems acquisition in that the system is fractionated into smaller components of the larger system, and developed in a manner that can be developed, acquired and procured on independent timelines. This transition provides technology changes through time to be adopted quickly and demonstrates a continuous integration / continuous deployment approach regardless of type of activity.
Responsibilities :
- Requires ability to communicate with executive leadership regarding matters of significant importance to the organization. May conduct briefings with senior leaders within the job function.
- Responsible for leading large, complex project initiatives of strategic importance to the organization, involving large cross-functional teams.
- Responsible for collecting and analyzing logistics data on system reliability, maintainability, and supportability.
- Independently maintains equipment, systems, and spares.
- Support test and evaluation specific to development testing strategy.
- Investigates equipment and system failures, to determine the cause and repair work required.
- Knowledgeable in technical equipment, IT assets and systems within the facilities, and supports the innovation of equipment, systems, and controls in the facility.
Qualifications : Required :
A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business, or a related field from an accredited college or university with 10 years of experience in military IT or the civilian equivalent

67,100-$141,000
