What are the responsibilities and job description for the Protocol Officer position at CACI?
The Opportunity:
In support of the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and under direction from the Space Rapid Capabilities Office (SpRCO), your primary focus will be to provide expertise and ongoing support for protocols necessary to mission goals. This includes coordination, execution, and management of meetings, events, and other obligations needed for success.
Responsibilities:
As a Protocol Officer supporting SpRCO, you will:
- Demonstrate exceptional proficiency in providing protocol support to senior civilian and military executives.
- Coordinate and provide protocol support for distinguished visitors from government and industry, of varying levels.
- Organize, schedule, deconflict, and coordinate a variety of events, visits, luncheons, and ceremonies. Must be knowledgeable with the military customs and etiquette; ensure that the policies and procedures of the DAF, installation, and/or unit protocols are adhered to during various events.
- Manage the expenditure of the Commander's Official Representation Funds and Special Morale and Welfare Funds (SM&W).
- Utilize the USAF standard desktop web browsers to generate pre- and post-arrival/departure visit and travel details and agendas. A high level of proficiency and extensive experience with Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required.
- Manage DAF Records Management Program.
- Manage and execute fundamental maintenance tasks for office computers, copiers, printers, and FAX devices, including paper, ink, and resets.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to manage relationships and mitigate risk proactively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Exceptional ability to organize current events and forecast for future events to meet goals and objectives for SpRCO and avoid conflicts
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a similar discipline.
- Minimum of five years experience
- DoD TS/SCI clearance.
- Experience writing and editing technical reports and technical documentation using Microsoft Office word processing systems, desktop publishing presentation systems spreadsheet systems, and Adobe Systems.
- Expert communication skills to manage multiple obligations and schedules for a variety of stakeholders.
Desired:
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in business or a similar discipline.
- Prior experience working for SpRCO and/or the DoD.
- Knowledge and experience with the DoD strategic communications systems
- Experience interacting with senior-level employees and preparing detailed, accurate reports and presentations for review by executive staff
