The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a Senior Configuration Specialist to provide expert configuration management services to support USSTRATCOM. This role involves overseeing the configuration of complex systems and ensuring compliance with established standards and practices across multiple enclaves and security levels.
The work location for this position is Omaha, Nebraska. The position is contingent upon award of the United States Strategic Command SCITLS contract.
Responsibilities:
Configuration Specialist, Senior:
Manages the baseline configuration of the platforms, systems, and subsystems; applies configuration management techniques that establish and maintain the integrity of the system throughout the project’s lifecycle
Adheres to authorization controls for modifying Configuration Items (CIs) and verification compliance with SW licensing; coordinates SW procurement with the system SW manager
Updates configuration data based on audit results
Follows procedures, regulations, and directives and plans, engineers, improves, coordinates, documents, and executes any changes, upgrades, or installs authorized by the Government
Provides, maintains, and updates the Comprehensive Network and Systems Documentation that will include the CMDB
Participates as required in the Problem Management and Investigations(PBI) analysis process
Performs ChM IAW documented USSTRATCOM policy and standards
Documents the relationship of changes to configuration items
Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high-impact assignments
Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments
Additional Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned by leadership to meet mission requirements and support USSTRATCOM objectives. Depending on experience and team structure, this role may involve working under direct supervision or potentially providing guidance, training, or supervision to others.

Qualifications:
Top Secret clearance with SCI Eligibility
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in configuration management or a related discipline
Required 8140 Cert within 6 months: 411 - Intermediate; GFACT or CND or Security or GSEC; OR Applicable degree ABET accredited/CAE designated; OR Training
AND
Additional Cert: ITIL 4 foundations or higher desired
Strong understanding of configuration management tools and best practices
Experience working with military or government organizations
Familiarity with systems engineering principles and software development lifecycle
