CACI has an outstanding opportunity for a select Software Engineer that wants to make a difference in the defense of the nation by applying their talents and experience in a fast-paced dynamic environment in support of US Special Operations Command. This opportunity is limited to self-starters with an advanced level of experience in planning, implementing, developing, and maintaining applications for a GIS Enterprise and capable of working independently in a fluid custom application development environment. You will be an integral part of a selective professional IT team that directly supports the operational planning cycle to support mission success. This position is in support of a Department of Defense (DoD) organization in Fayetteville, NC.
More About the Role :
You will use advanced software engineering techniques to perform complex analysis, design and modification of applications and databases for GIS Enterprise. You will perform software development, deployment, and maintenance of both custom and ad-hoc applications supporting geospatial intelligence analysis workflows.
You should possess excellent communication skills, including technical writing, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. A willingness to continuously expand your knowledge and experience is essential. You must be detail-oriented and able to prioritize and complete assigned tasks within required deadlines. Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making capabilities are crucial, including :
Troubleshooting technical issues Successfully resolving project challenges Understanding user requirements to develop creative software solutions for process improvements
Using your knowledge and experience you will recommend innovative technologies that enhance the presentation and use of enterprise GIS products and provide integrated systems planning.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications :
- Currently holds an active TS / SCI clearance
- Have 8 years software development experience
- Proficient in C# and Python programming languages
- Ability to create and develop custom tools utilizing RDBMS, NoSQL data stores, and distributed process of large datasets.
- Performs high level / expert intelligence systems development design and evaluation.
- Possess strong oral and written communication skills
- Capable of performing as a team and effectively directing subordinates
- High level / expert ability to manage and work with static and dynamic streaming geospatial oriented data
- Required to obtain and maintain currency of the appropriate level certification in accordance with DODD 8570.01 (Security )

The proposed salary range for this position is :
85,000 - $178,600
