Job Description:
The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a Test Technician with knowledge of Army Mounted and Dismounted Tactical communication systems (MMC/TAK/JBCP/CPCE/NettWarrior/PF-D/Tactical Radio) to join a cross-functional team dedicated to testing operations at PM MC facilities at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. You will be responsible for the planning, setup, operation, troubleshooting of tactical software platforms during all phases of test execution. The ideal candidate possesses a fundamental grasp of tactical and enterprise networks and infrastructure, satellite & radio communication, PNT, and Army operations and organization.
This position is contingent on funding and may not be filled immediately. However, this position is representative of positions within CACI that are consistently available. Individuals who apply may also be considered for other positions at CACI
Responsibilities:
Provide advanced technical support to configure, modify, and operate tactical communication systems to include software installation, network configuration, and system administration.
Contribute to test design and architecture by providing guidance to teammates and external stakeholders on system capabilities, best practices, and common use cases.
Follow and implement test plans, procedures, and documentation to support functional, integration, and system-level testing of software systems and components.
Perform troubleshooting at both user and advanced levels to resolve complex issues identified in testing.
Utilize system logs and packet capture software to relay relevant information to developers verbally and electronically through issue and bug tracking systems (i.e. JIRA).
Provide technical support and knowledge for troubleshooting and research of Test Incident Reports (TIRs) discussed at the Data Authentication Group (DAG) and resolved and adjudicated at the Executive Scoring Committee (ESC).
Document test issues and system details with precision, ensuring clarity and completeness for internal and external stakeholders. Confidently present findings in in briefings and working group meetings.
Qualifications:
Required:
Active DOD-Secret security clearance.
9 years of relevant experience OR 7 years experience and associates degree/relevant certifications OR 3 years of experience and Bachelor's degree
Experience operating Army tactical communication and software systems.
Familiarity of basic software testing procedures, including test planning, execution, and reporting.
Demonstrated ability to adapt to emerging technologies and methods, with a proactive approach to expanding knowledge in unfamiliar areas to enhance skills and performance.
Desired:
Expert level knowledge of the PM Mission Command system portfolio, especially MMC, JBCP, CPCE, Radios and Dismounted systems.
Knowledge of TAK family of software (ATAK,WinTAK,WebTAK, TAKserver,TAKX).
Familiarity with FIRES systems such as AFATDS, TAIS, and AMDWS.
Experience creating, configuring, and networking virtual machines (VMs).
Foundational experience with Linux operating systems, including file system navigation, user management, and networking basics.
Working knowledge of the Tactical Server Infrastructure (TSI)
Understanding of the DoD test and acquisition process and its role in system evaluation and fielding decisions
