Job Description:
Cactus Feedyard is seeking a Tractor Operator to join our team. The Tractor Operator is responsible for operating a large model tractor to support the operation of pen cleaning and onsite maintenance projects.
About the Position:
- Operate large tractors
- Maintain and follow all Cactus Operating and OSHA Safety Guidelines
- Assist the mill and maintenance crew to complete assigned tasks as needed
- Other duties as assigned
- Able to work in a team environment and able to execute self-directed assignments with little supervision
- Able to work in elevated areas, in a variety of environmental conditions (heat, cold, dust, etc.), climb stairs/ladders, sit, and stand for extended periods
- Able to lift 50 lbs
- Exhibit regular and prompt attendance
- Display strong communication skills (oral)
Qualifications
- High school, GED, or completion of Technical or Trade School certificate (Preferred, but not required)
- 1-2 years of Heavy Equipment and/or Tractor Operation (preferred, but willing to train)
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting
