CAD Control Systems, a leader in the development, design, and manufacturing of BOP Control Systems, is seeking a skilled, motivated, and dependable Part-Time Accountant to join our team in Broussard, LA. This individual will support the Finance Department by performing accounting duties including financial reporting, general ledger records, job costing reports, and assisting with month-end and year-end close processes.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Environment: Work is performed in an indoor office environment. Exposure to noise, dust, grease, fumes, noxious odors, mechanical and electrical hazards, burns and temperature conditions may occur.
Physical: Primary functions require physical ability and mobility to sit, walk and stand frequently; to frequently lift, carry, push, twist, turn, bend, crouch, kneel, reach, grasp, handle, feel and make repetitive hand movement in the performance of daily duties; to occasionally climb on ladders or stairs. This position may have occasional exposure to pinch points and moving objects. This position requires constant eye-hand coordination and ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to exchange information. Personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel toe shoes and safety glasses, must be worn at all times while in the indoor/outdoor shop environment.
Vision: See near/far with or without correction.
Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.

- This position is listed as hybrid, and therefore candidates must reside within commutable range to Broussard, LA.
- Assist in monthly closing. Duties to include monthly accruals, prepaid schedule, verifying general ledger coding, WIP schedule, job costing reports, customer deposit listing, etc.)
- Bank reconciliations
- Maintain intercompany due from/to balances
- Accounts payable and accounts receivable Invoice entry
- Prepare monthly sales tax reports
- Payroll journal entries
- Assists with related special projects, as required
- Work independently, use discretion and ensure the confidentiality of information
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration from an accredited university preferred, or equivalent education and experience.
- Five (5) years’ experience in accounting role preferred.
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft applications required.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g. SAP Business One).
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to interact with all customers and vendors, and possess excellent project management skills.
- Must have ability to manage multiple complicated tasks, prioritize, and be detail oriented.
- Must pay close attention to accuracy.
