Available Shift :Second Shift Position Description of the CNC Set Up Technician:
Responsible for CNC machine troubleshooting, updating tool paths and completing set ups for machines on 2 nd shift.
** Principal Duties and Responsibilities of the CNC Set Up Technician:
**
Knowledge to teach robot and gantry pickup points
Knowledge of Nachi robot controls
Recognize tool paths by interpreting the program (G and M codes)
Machine set-ups and changeovers
Ability to train associates on machining standards
Troubleshoot daily production problems through root cause analysis techniques as they occur
Participate in continuous improvement processes
Maintains safety and good housekeeping standards
** Requirements of the CNC Set Up Technician:
**
1-3 years of experience in high volume precision machining environment
General understanding of manufacturing processes and detailed knowledge of lathe tooling/programming
Knowledge of Hard Turning, Green Turning, Milling, Broaching, and Part Finishing machine processes
Knowledge to teach robot and gantry pickup points
Knowledge of Nachi robot controls
Recognize tool paths by interpreting the program (G and M codes)
High School Diploma
