SUMMARY
Monitors and coordinates activities of various programs by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.• Monitors and supports classroom instruction of assigned teachers.
• Manages the textbook adoption process of their assigned discipline.
• Plans and conducts professional development and attends related meetings.
• Prepares and administers budget requests.
• Coordinates the purchase of various materials and equipment and the operation of necessary programs.
• Forms committees/task forces to guide collaborative efforts toward curriculum enhancement.
• Stay current with curricular trends and standard changes by maintaining professional memberships, attending conferences, and maintaining regular communication with the Louisiana Department of Education.
• Develop and review content and assessments that meet state, national or College Board standards.
• Provides instructional support for employees through Intensive Assistance.
• Provides detailed updates to the Director of Curriculum regarding development, planning, implementation, and evaluation of curricula.
• Neat, well groomed, appropriately dressed appearance.
• Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Carries out job responsibilities in accordance with the department's policies and applicable laws.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical
procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure
manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers,
clients, customers, and the general public.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only
limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral,
diagram, or schedule form.
