The Cade Museum for Creativity & Invention (Cade Museum) a non-profit 501(c)3 located in Gainesville, Florida, is seeking to hire an adaptable, creative, articulate, dynamic and highly motivated individual to join our team in the role of Curriculum Coordinator. This is a full-time position in a small startup, casual entrepreneurial environment. There is a three-month probationary period for all new hires.
The Curriculum Coordinator is the primary writer of the Cade Museum’s educational curriculum, creating dynamic, mission-aligned content for camps, classes, in-museum programs, outreach, and other educational initiatives. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented, creative individual with exceptional writing and communication skills who thrives in both independent and collaborative environments.
This role is responsible for executing and collaborating on all levels within Cade’s educational content development cycle—including brainstorming, researching, outlining, writing, testing, training, delivery, and continuous improvement based on feedback. The Curriculum Coordinator also plays a key role in supporting the functionality and organization of Museum and Annex program spaces.
The successful candidate must be reliable and dependable, self-motivated, and eager to step in when a need is observed. A positive, team-oriented attitude is a must!
General Responsibilities
- Write and develop innovative, engaging, and accurate curricula that support the Cade’s proprietary educational framework
- Serve as the lead writer and editor of all educational content, ensuring clarity, age-appropriateness, and alignment with Cade’s voice and educational mission
- Ensure alignment of educational content with relevant learning standards where appropriate (e.g. NGSS, State Standards)
- Apply updates to educational content based on collected team feedback
- Occasional teaching responsibilities, including but not limited to camps, field trips, outreach programs, and general in-museum programming
- Maintain organized digital files of Cade’s educational content
- Maintain Museum and Annex program spaces, including equipment maintenance and materials inventory
- Collect and maintain metrics and measurements for internal review of educational content
- Perform other duties as necessary or assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Science, Outreach, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of two years of experience in curriculum development, teaching, or educational program coordination (formal or informal settings)
- Familiarity with STEAM education, learning standards, and informal education environments preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for detail and clarity
- Excellent organization and time management abilities
- Ability to work independently or as a part of a team
- Ideal candidate will possess a “can do” attitude with a “will do” work ethic
