The Cade Museum for Creativity & Invention (Cade Museum), a non-profit 501(c)3 located in Gainesville, Florida, is seeking an organized, energetic, and team-oriented individual to join our team in a temporary, part-time role as Camp Support. This role is essential in helping to deliver a fun, safe, and engaging summer camp experience by assisting with day-to-day camp operations. This position will run from May 19, 2025 through July 25, 2025.
The Camp Support position focuses on the behind-the-scenes setup and breakdown of camp activities, daily student check-in and check-out, and general logistical support. This position works closely with the Camp Educators and other team members to ensure camps run smoothly and efficiently.
General Responsibilities
- Assist with daily student check-in and check-out
- Support setup and breakdown of camp equipment and materials for lunch areas, classroom activities, and outdoor play
- Help maintain organized, clean, and well-stocked activity areas
- Collaborate with camp staff to ensure a safe, engaging environment for campers
- Assist with other camp logistics as assigned
- Demonstrate commitment to the Cade Museum’s vision, mission, and values
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children or in an educational/camp setting is preferred
- Reliable, punctual, and proactive
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude
- Able to work independently and take direction as needed
- Comfortable with physical tasks such as moving tables, chairs, and activity supplies
- Able to pass Level 2 background check
- High School Diploma or GED
Job Type: Temporary
Pay: $13.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 25 per week
