Job Summary:
Duties / Responsibilities: The palletizer is responsible for palletizing the product according to specifications. Responsible for using only sound pallets and clean packaging materials following the pallet pattern from the specifications.
- Responsible for palletizing the product according to specifications
- Ensure there are enough packaging materials at all times
- Collaborate with the forklift operator to ensure there are pallets, slips sheets, layer pads, pallet caps or any other materials needed for the product being palletized
- Ensure the quality assurance staff confirms the packaging materials are correct
- Always check with the quality assurance staff that the Julian date for the production day is correct
- Periodically check the accessible bags for proper packaging and ensuring they are sealed correctly and do not contain any leaks
- Place product bags in the reject bin anytime a discrepancy is identified and notify the packer, operator and quality assurance immediately so the machine can be stopped
- Responsible for staying in permanent communication with the packer and the operator to ensure all issues are reported timely.
- Responsible for maintaining the work area clean throughout the day
- Follow all safety precautions and adhere to all company policies and procedures, including the safe operation of equipment and help to maintain a safe, clean work environment to include general housekeeping warehouse duties
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- High school degree or GED preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time during events.
- Ability to work while standing, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, kneeling and lifting for the entire duration of the shift
- Ability to work in multi-temperature environments, hot or cool
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
- Ability to hand shrink wrap pallets of completed orders
