Senior Editor
Cadence 3 is growing! We are seeking passionate Sr. Editors to join our growing team. People who bring a strong understanding of media production, strong collaboration skills, excellent attention to detail, and a desire to push creative boundaries. We are a small marketing production agency that helps businesses increase marketing reach and demand generation through digital experiences. We're looking for a freelance video editor that has experience with corporate video editing in Premiere Pro to hit the ground running and to join our team for a six-month contract for a number of rigorous upcoming projects from January through June. For editors that are a great fit, there is a high likelihood for ongoing freelance work or potentially move into a full-time employee with great perks and benefits role if that is your end goal. We are looking for a team player to understand our work and client culture become a part of our small and agile team on upcoming high confidential projects. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with producers on own editing projects from inception to final delivery against client required brand templates and format
- Deliver end-to-end creative on a diverse range of projects, including customer event sessions, keynotes, case studies, and social edits
- Work with production team and staff to develop internal editorial processes to streamline production
- Learn and enhance our creative capabilities through the use of new tech and tools
- Expertise and strong working knowledge of photo, video, and audio editing
- Source music, sound effects, stock photos and stock videos from various online libraries.
- Good communication skills both written and verbal.
- Computer skills including using email, spread sheets, word documents, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Microsoft Project, and setting up peripherals.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 8 years professional editorial experience
- Solid understanding of how cameras, lighting, and sound recording works to deliver best end product
- Expert- knowledge of the usual suspects (Premiere, Photoshop, and Encoder) with advanced knowledge of After Effects
- Advanced knowledge of color grading practices — HDR experience is a bonus
- Experience with sound design and general audio best practices is both expected and appreciated
- Experience with modern encoding and delivery practices
- Ability to bring a strong level of understanding of media production
- Passion about leading the way in creative content production, with a strong sense of visual storytelling and editorial style
- An eye for detail and proven ability to manage projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Effective interpersonal skills, good judgment, and the ability to collaborate with different levels of management & creative teams
- Ability to work both as a team and independently
- Ability to navigate, manage, and address enterprise-level corporate feedback
- Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills
- Experience in a production studio (Microsoft productions a plus!)
- Research and problem-solving skills using documentation and online resources.
- Desire to better yourself and grow and bring creative ideas for best practices to the team.
- Comfortable working on PC Device
- Outstanding collaboration, conceptual, artistic and technical skills
- Ability to work quickly under tight deadlines
- Experience working in multi-camera editing environments preferred
EDUCATION
- Certificate or AA preferred in video production
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
- Flexible, yet demanding and fast-paced environment
- Candidate must be local to Greater Seattle Area, and able to go onsite to our studio
- Requires the ability to sit at a standard computer desk, type on a standard computer keyboard, and operate a standard computer mouse for long periods at a time.
- Must be able to lift heavy objects (25-50 lbs.), with or without accommodation.
- Professional attire (business casual) required.
- Must be vaccinated to go onsite at client locations

Our company is woman owned by former consultants ourselves who designed and operate a company that we ourselves wished we could have worked for when consulting.
