What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chief Financial Operations position at Cadence Bank?
The Market President is the top executive in our local market, directly responsible to the Divisional President. They coordinate bank activities according to established policies and objectives. In the absence of the Divisional President, they act as their representative for the local market.
Key Responsibilities
- Assists the Divisional President in overall bank administration, serving as second-in-command in their absence.
- Coordinates activities in accordance with Cadence Bank's policies and procedures.
- Oversees operational issues and develops procedures to ensure compliance with corporate guidelines for their resolution and efficient operation of each market location.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Developing annual budget plans and maintaining responsibility for achieving growth in high-quality bank loan portfolios, core deposits, and overall operational and financial goals.
- Participating in Business Development programs, making customer and prospect calls to grow loans and deposits, and providing exceptional customer relations, service, and problem resolution.
- Administering and overseeing Community Development activities and the bank's involvement in the market.
- Assisting staff in achieving loan and deposit growth goals.
- Maintaining a healthy loan and deposit portfolio by monitoring quality and profitability, ensuring past-due loans, charge-offs, and non-performing assets are at acceptable levels, and adhering to bank policies and government regulations.
The Market President provides strong leadership by:
- Maintaining a viable organizational structure through guidance, direction, and advice.
- Creating a positive work environment that promotes good communication, rewards high-level staff performance, encourages employee development, and plans for management succession.
- Staying informed about local, national, financial, political, and legislative events and building a network of business contacts.
We seek candidates with:
- A minimum of five (5) years' experience in a financial institution, preferably as a commercial lender.
- A bachelor's degree or better in a business-related field; an MBA or commercial lending school background is desirable but not essential.
