Position: Facilities Operations Manager
Physical Location: Tupelo, Memphis, Birmingham
Reports To: Director of Facilities Management
Working Conditions: Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, lift/carry loads of up to 50 lbs. Some outside work is required. Regular vehicle travel required between facilities as needed throughout assigned geography. Some overnight travel required, particularly for emergency response situations.
Primary Purpose:
Ensure all operational facilities and equipment are safe and well maintained, that building and mobile generators and other related equipment are maintained, tested, and ready for deployment/use at all times. Recommend and implement energy and other savings strategies for operational/administrative buildings and footprint wide initiatives. Support business continuity efforts through coordinating facility related emergency response vendors, resources, and activities and activate/implement emergency response protocols for any emergent event. Assist Director of Facilities Management with Facility Technician training and provide technical expertise and assist Facility Managers as needed to support enterprise wide projects.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responds to emergency situations (hurricane, tornado, fire, evacuation, equipment failure etc.) at any bank facility.
- Coordinate storing, staging, transporting, and fueling mobile generators and related equipment during emergent events.
- Work closely with Procurement to retain and manage emergency response partners for additional support throughout the Cadence Bank footprint, including electrical labor, genset connections, rental generators if needed, and on-going fueling.
- Support clean-up and repair efforts resulting from weather or other incidents resulting in facility damage.
- Communicate proactively with appropriate vendors and support services in advance of known weather events.
- Participates in business continuity incident calls, and keeps key stakeholders aware of any activity, issues, or concerns for areas of responsibility and oversight.
- In conjunction with Human Resources, coordinate assistance from contractors for teammates with severe property damage due to large weather events
- Assists Facility Managers with coordinating winter weather preparation and remediation.
- Manages critical equipment installation and maintenance (building generators, fire pumps, UPS systems, data room HVAC, etc.) for operational/administrative facilities.
- Coordinate with lead engineers and internal design and construction team on major mechanical systems and projects.
- Manages fixed building generators at branch locations.
- Assists in creating and managing operating and capital budgets for areas of oversight/expertise.
- Assists in annual facility condition assessments.
- Train/coach technicians regarding technical/mechanical issues
- Assist in solicitation and acquisition of new service contracts for areas of oversight/expertise.
- Ensures compliance with applicable codes, requisitions, government agencies and company directives as relates to building operations
- Maintains up to date building emergency response protocols, including evacuation plans and maps for large operational/administrative facilities
- Research, recommend, and implement energy related initiatives.
- Report any conditions which you feel could result in an accident or injury and / or stop work if required
- Investigate and resolve (if possible) all reported unsafe conditions / acts and communicate results back to the affected stakeholders,
- May develop and oversee pandemic or similar protocols
- Other duties as assigned
Job Specifications:
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent required
- Minimum 5 years experience required, preferably with multi-site portfolio
- Advanced knowledge of building mechanical systems, generators, UPS systems, fire pumps, and data room HVAC required
- Certifications in one or more of the following strongly preferred: electrical, HVAC
- Intermediate computer skills including proficiency in applications such as Microsoft Office Suite and internet/intranet
- Valid driver's license required
- CMMS/Work order management experience required
- Facility project management experience required
- Familiarity with building codes and safety regulations required
- Ability to read and understand construction specifications and drawings required
- Positive attitude/customer service mindset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and work diligently in high-stress situations
