We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our growing team at InnoFi. In this role, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial tasks, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and supporting the finance team in maintaining the financial health of the company. Responsibilities
- As the Senior Accountant, you will:
- Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and other financial statements on a monthly basis.
- Process payroll, track employee expenses, and manage reimbursements.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and internal controls.
- Support the preparation for audits by providing necessary documentation.
- Collaborate with the finance team in budgeting and financial forecasting.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting (Master’s degree or CPA preferred).
- At least 10 years of experience in accounting (experience in the private sector or banking preferred).
- Proficiency with accounting software (Netsuite, Acumatica, or a similar ERP system) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of GAAP with effective habits for money movement and policy implementation.
- Experience with payroll processing and tax regulations.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Nice to Haves
- Experience in the financial services, sub-prime lending or auto finance industry.
- Familiarity with loan receivable management or auto loan accounting.
- Experience with financial planning and forecasting.
- Knowledge of industry-specific software and tools.
