The Systems Administrator will be responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of the company’s software systems including loan origination, loan management, phone, email and office suite systems. This individual will ensure that all technical systems related to lending operations function efficiently and meet the needs of the business. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, an understanding of the lending process, and experience working with financial software platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Configuration and Maintenance:
- Configure and optimize loan origination and loan management systems according to business requirements.
- Ensure that system configurations align with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Perform and collaborate with vendors on regular system updates, patches, and troubleshooting to ensure system reliability and security.
- Business Process Support:
- Collaborate with loan operations, underwriting, and IT teams to identify business needs and customize systems to support these requirements.
- Develop workflows within the loan systems to improve operational efficiency and support end-to-end loan processing.
- User Support and Training:
- Provide day-to-day support to system users, including resolving system issues and handling configuration requests.
- Develop and deliver user training for system functionalities, new features, and best practices.
- Reporting and Data Analysis:
- Generate and maintain reports for operational performance, and system usage.
- Assist with data extraction and integration between loan systems and other platforms.
- Compliance and Security:
- Ensure that loan systems are compliant with relevant regulations, including data privacy and security standards.
- Work closely with the compliance department to audit system activities and ensure data integrity.
- Vendor Management:
- Manage relationships with software vendors to ensure timely resolution of issues and the successful implementation of new features or updates.
- Participate in negotiations and discussions for system improvements and upgrades.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2-5 years of experience in systems administration, configuration, or IT roles within a financial services or lending environment.
- Strong understanding of loan origination, underwriting, and loan management processes.
- Experience with loan origination and loan management systems (e.g., Calyx, Encompass, MeridianLink, etc.).
- Proficiency with SQL, XML, and API integrations for system customization and data management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to train and support non-technical users.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with system migrations, upgrades, or large-scale configuration projects.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as CFPB, FCRA, or other lending regulations.
- Knowledge of cloud-based lending platforms and SaaS systems.
