Cadence Insurance is currently seeking qualified candidates to participate in our Account Associate Training Program. Participants will fill a paid, full-time role as they learn about the different lines of insurance Cadence Insurance processes, as well as work on accounts assigned to actual clients. This program provides real-world experience in a supportive environment with opportunities to learn from niche specialists in the insurance industry. Upon completion of training, the position will transition to supporting Senior Account Managers and books of business, while continuing to progress in the established career development path of an Account Manager.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Attends scheduled class training sessions to gain a basic understanding of insurance coverages
  • Participates in assigned research topics and presentations to develop presentation skills
  • Shadows client service senior account managers, observing the day-to-day client interaction between clients, client service teams, and producers
  • Assists senior staff teammates in completing basic day-to-day administrative and customer service tasks in a timely and accurate manner
  • Processes requests in the agency management system such as entering data, transactions, adding new policies, and electronically storing/filing paperwork
  • Maintains relationships, as well as clear and open communication, with internal partners to support high level service for insurance policies
  • Works under direct supervision and follows established workflows and guidelines for implementation, maintenance, and service of insurance policies
  • Positively represents the department to colleagues and the community by projecting a professional image in communications, behavior, and appearance
  • Overtime work as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Education/Designations

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Degree in Risk Management of Insurance, Business Administration, Human Resources, Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or University preferred

Skill Requirements

  • Experience and proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel and/or G Suite products including Gmail, Docs word processing, Sheets, and Drive cloud storage
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with numbers including basic calculations
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Self-starter with the ability to be flexible
  • Detail oriented

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to communicate effectively with clients, producers, carriers and staff
  • Ability to stand or sit at a workstation during a standard workday
  • Ability to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and printer
  • Ability to move about the office to access office machinery and supplies
