The Medical Records Coordinator is responsible for the overall integrity and organization of the resident’s medical records.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Track Provider visits to ensure alternating schedule per regulation. Track annual History and Physicals and notify physicians when due.
- Maintain a Triple Check binder for monthly meetings.
- Update ABAQIS weekly for all admissions/discharges.
- Track all facility rental equipment & assure equipment is returned to outside vendors.
- Prepare monthly billing for oxygen and resident vaccines (Influenza, Pneumovax and Prevnar 13).
- Review records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Process admission and discharge documents.
- Must possess, at minimum, a high school diploma.
- Medical Records Certification preferred.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology, nursing practices & computer skills preferred
