Job Overview
The Industrial Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the upkeep, repair, and continuous improvement of equipment and machinery in a wood-working manufacturing facility. This role plays an essential part in minimizing downtime, ensuring safety, and maximizing productivity. The technician will work closely with production teams to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, perform preventive maintenance tasks, and implement process improvements.
Must Have Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational school diploma/certification in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- 5 years of maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, preferably in woodworking or related industries.
- Technical Skills
- Strong mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills – MUST HAVE
- Familiarity with CNC equipment, PLC systems, and industrial controls.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Soft Skills
- Effective communication skills for reporting, documentation, and teamwork.
- Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently or in a team under minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulations including lock out/tag out.
- Familiar with manufacturing, safety practices, and procedures
- Strong decision making, problem-solving and time management skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and work on machinery for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting materials and tools (up to 50 lbs).
- Comfortable working in an environment with moderate noise and dust.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
