Job Summary:
The press operator will operate and maintain offset sheetfed printing presses.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Set up and operate half size sheetfed offset presses
· Verify job specifications including size, color, and stock from job order
· Install plates on offset press (no auto plate hangers), configure press including ink, grippers, rollers, blankets and stock
· Review press sheets against proof prior to running job and throughout run, making adjustments as needed
· Troubleshoot issues with presses and make basic repairs
· Manage print jobs from start to finish
· Perform routine maintenance on presses
· Print jobs maintaining optimum print quality and production speed,
· Complete jobs in an efficient, safe, and cost-effective manner
· Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment
· Collaborate with the production team to meet deadlines
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
