Job Summary :
McKesson Technology is seeking a highly experienced Enterprise Resiliency Architect to be part of our resiliency team in designing, implementing, and maturing the enterprise resiliency posture. This role will collaborate with key stakeholders to enhance cyber resilience, disaster recovery, and technology resiliency. The successful candidate will have a strong background in cloud architecture, microservices, and modern architecture for resiliency and disaster recovery.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Designing Cyber Resilience Solutions : o Design and architect resilience solutions incorporating best practices for high availability, disaster recovery, and technology resiliency. o Design robust systems, networks, and applications to withstand cyber threats and ensure business continuity.
2. Developing Application Design Guidelines : o Establish guidelines that promote high availability, disaster recovery, and technology resiliency. o Implement redundant systems, load balancing, fault tolerance, and failover mechanisms to minimize downtime.
3. Implementing Disaster Recovery Strategies : o Partner with service and solution teams to design recovery strategies ensuring quick and effective restoration of critical systems and data. o Design recovery processes, establish RTOs and RPOs, and advise on testing recovery plans.
4. Enhancing Technology Resiliency : o Identify and partner with technology teams to implement technologies and solutions enhancing organizational technology resiliency. o Implement redundant network connections, leverage cloud services for data backup and recovery, and implement failover mechanisms.
5. Collaborating with Solution and Service Teams : o Work closely with solution and service teams to integrate resiliency principles and best practices into application design and development. o Review application architectures, conduct security reviews, and provide guidance on secure coding practices.
6. Conducting Architecture Assessments : o Partner with technology teams to assess existing architecture and infrastructure, identifying vulnerabilities and areas for improvement. o Develop architectural recommendations to enhance cyber resilience, high availability, disaster recovery, and technology resiliency.
7. Providing Technical Leadership and Guidance : o Serve as a technical leader, providing guidance on cyber resilience best practices, high availability, disaster recovery, and technology resiliency. o Mentor team members, conduct training sessions, and ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations.
8. Staying Updated on Emerging Technologies and Industry Trends : o Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices related to cyber resilience, high availability, disaster recovery, and technology resiliency. o Recommend and implement innovative solutions to mitigate evolving cyber threats.
9. Participating in Architectural Reviews and Governance Processes : o Actively participate in architectural reviews and governance processes to incorporate cyber resilience principles and best practices into the organization's technology roadmap. o Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure cyber resilience requirements are met during project planning and execution.
Experience :
Proven record of success in engineering and architectural roles at a large complex enterprise.
Solid background in cloud architecture, microservices, and modern architecture for resiliency and disaster recovery across a broad technology estate.
Knowledge of Infrastructure and software engineering best practices.
Experience developing and implementing operational strategies that drive measurable results.
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and governance principles.
