Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead safety initiatives and drive continuous improvement in safety practices at our Waterloo, IA plant. As a key member of the Plant Management Team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping a proactive safety strategy, fostering a safety-first culture, and ensuring compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Strategic Leadership : Develop and implement a proactive safety strategy to ensure a sustainable and safe work environment.
- Compliance Oversight : Ensure adherence to OSHA regulations, including the OSHA Client Ergonomic program, and maintain related documentation.
- Incident Investigation : Investigate all safety-related incidents, recommend corrective actions, and manage reporting requirements.
- Safety Audits : Conduct regular inspections of plant operations, equipment, and practices to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Training & Communication : Develop and deliver safety training programs, communicate policy changes, and foster safety awareness among employees.
- Continuous Improvement : Measure the effectiveness of safety programs and lead the implementation of best practices.
