Role
CX2 is seeking an experienced back end software engineer to help host, secure, and scale our electromagnetic spectrum intelligence and effects management platform. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting edge and hybrid cloud infrastructure, processing high volume sensor data in real time, and optimizing for disrupted, degraded, intermittent, or limited (DDIL) network conditions. Your work will help deliver a full stack platform to seamlessly visualize, orchestrate, and manage CX2's sensor and effector systems across any battlefield. As a key member of CX2's foundational engineering team, your expertise will direct how we evolve our core software stack, deepen our engineering culture, and deliver powerful electromagnetic warfare capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Automated Edge and Hybrid Cloud Deployments : Design, provision, and deploy application infrastructure across small form factor edge compute and large cloud environments. Evaluate and adopt new tools and technologies to maximize system security and reliability while minimizing latency.
- Constrained and Disconnected Environments : Optimize resource usage and harden against denied or degraded network conditions to serve both mobile and web based clients.
- Support Data Intensive Applications : Collaborate with software and hardware engineers to process high-volume sensor data, support real-time data pipelines and large databases, implement observability systems, and ensure uptime and reliability.
- Fulfill Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) Requirements : Understand and adhere to the software accreditation and certification standards set forth by the United States DoD and ICs.
