Materials Coordinator

OVERVIEW

Cadrex is searching for a Materials Coordinator who will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate flow of materials and inventory throughout the manufacturing process. This position supports production efficiency by managing incoming materials, coordinating with vendors and internal departments, and maintaining inventory records. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience in materials handling and inventory control in a manufacturing environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate the movement of materials to support production schedules
• Receive, inspect, and process incoming materials and components; verify quantities and quality against purchase orders
• Collaborate with procurement, production, and warehouse teams to ensure accurate and timely material availability
• Maintain accurate inventory records in ERP or MRP systems; perform cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies
• Prepare and stage materials for production lines according to work orders and schedule priorities
• Track and expedite back-ordered or delayed materials; communicate updates to relevant departments
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to material flow, storage, and inventory accuracy
• Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards in all material handling activities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 2 years of experience in a materials, inventory, or logistics role within a manufacturing environment preferred
• Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.
