OVERVIEW
Cadrex is searching for a Punch Department Lead who will be responsible for overseeing daily operations within the punch press department, ensuring that safety, quality, and production targets are met. This hands-on leadership role coordinates workflow, supports team development, and maintains equipment readiness to meet production demands. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical knowledge of punch press operations, excellent organizational skills, and proven leadership abilities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and coordinate the daily activities of the punch press team to meet production schedules and quality standards
- Set up and operate punch press equipment as needed; troubleshoot and resolve issues to minimize downtime
- Train and mentor punch press operators, promoting a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement
- Monitor work orders, materials, and equipment availability to ensure smooth production flow
- Inspect parts and processes to ensure compliance with specifications; address quality issues promptly
- Collaborate with supervisors, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams to support production goals
- Maintain accurate documentation, including production reports, setup sheets, and maintenance logs
- Enforce safety policies and ensure a clean and organized work environment
- Recommend process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 4 years of experience in punch press operations, including at least 1 year in a leadership or lead role preferred
- Proficient in reading blueprints, work instructions, and using precision measuring tools
- Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes, tooling, and machine operation
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
- Working knowledge of ERP systems and basic computer skills

WORK ENVIRONMENT
