Position Overview
Senior real estate finance paralegals provide legal support for a complete spectrum of commercial real estate finance transactions including mortgage, mezzanine and construction loans for all commercial asset classes, representing commercial and investment banks and other regulated and non-regulated lenders. Specific duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Essential Functions:
- Coordinate real estate finance (mortgage and mezzanine loan) closings
- Order UCC/litigation/judgment/bankruptcy searches
- Prepare and file UCC financing statements
- Assemble and distribute transaction documents
- Deliver closing documents to title companies for recording
- Assemble and distribute closing sets
- Handle custodial deliveries and attention to client post-closing protocols
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5 years of real estate/ finance paralegal experience in a law firm
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills and ability to follow complex instructions
- Ability to interact in a professional, cooperative and tactful manner with clients, co-workers and transaction parties
- Detail-oriented and adaptable
- Punctual
- Excellent verbal, written, organizational, computer and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, solve problems and act proactively
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Availability to work overtime as required.
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills, including Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $125,000 to $160,000. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location from which the applicant will be performing the job.
