About This Role
CAE, an international aviation high-tech company specializing in training and operational support solutions civil aviation, defense and security.
As a result of CAE's growth, we seek an additional member to join as Corporate Legal Counsel. This role will provide legal counsel to our Business and Commercial aviation training businesses in the United States and Latin America.
This position is based onsite, at CAE's largest civil training center location, DFW Dallas, Texas, USA.

This role involves providing a range of corporate and commercial legal services to in-house clients, advising on government and regulatory compliance, and reviewing legal data to recommend appropriate actions.
Main Responsibilities:
Draft, revise, comment on, and negotiate various contracts and documents related to the company's civil activities, including sales contracts, licenses, financing/lease agreements, acquisitions, service contracts, joint ventures, strategic partnerships, bids, and tenders.
Manage claims by and/or against third parties.
Advise internal stakeholders on legal matters.
Provide legal advice on the interpretation of laws and regulations applicable to the company's activities.
Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement contracts and internal policies aligned with the company's business needs and growth.
Coordinate files assigned to outside law firms.
Develop tools (including training tools) for the legal department and other CAE departments.
Qualifications:
5-7 years' relevant experience within a mix of corporate or law firm.
Excellent command of English (oral and written); conversational Spanish is an asset.
Bachelor of Laws degree (common law or equivalent experience).
Admission to the Texas State Bar is required; Florida Bar is an asset.
Experience in the aviation industry is an asset.
Strong problem-solving skills, customer focus, and team spirit.
Ability to work under pressure with various clients.
Efficient priority management.
Autonomous with a strong team spirit, love of learning, and knowledge sharing.
Initiative, proactive attitude, and leadership skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
The role requires readiness to travel as necessary.
