Additionally, QC staff research various computer-based files, reports, and operational products to ensure all areas of the contract are inspected fully. Inspection results are documented in formal quality inspection records.
Inspectors, under the guidance of the Chief of QC, follow systematic QC procedures that identify acceptable, deficient, and unacceptable performance and assist in gathering data to aid in resolving identified problem areas. Inspections are both scheduled and “no notice.” Quality Control uses a variety of inspection methods similar to those listed:
The Operations QC Inspector assists with the collection of program data, statistics, KPIs etc., and creates source documents that ensure contract compliance which are required by contract or CAE to determine program performance and progress. Examples include:
Operations Quality Control is the responsible agent for On Time Grad Rate Analysis and tracks variable factors beyond Contractor control, such as: student training which requires sorties outside of the normal syllabus flow (e.g., additional training (AT), progress check (PC), elimination check (EC) sorties), bad flying weather that is worse than the historic monthly average (the contractor is expected to plan for historic weather conditions), student medical status, aircraft or student availability due to Government action, and program guidance changes. Operations QC will calculate current weather attrition versus historic weather attrition IAW the agreement with the First FTS, track, document and maintain the history of those factors which are beyond Contractor control and forward them to the Chief COR monthly to substantiate reasons for late graduations.
Operations Quality Control will review the draft annual training plan to ensure contract compliance and to ensure Government’s estimated student load for the next fiscal year and will meet the programmed graduation dates.
Operations Quality Control will review annually or as needed courseware/curriculum as submitted by Operations for contract, syllabus, and regulatory compliance prior to submission to the Chief COR.
The Operations Quality Control Inspector determines the sufficient numbers of qualified CFIs needed to meet student loads and graduation dates based on standard assumptions and basic algebraic equations to be able to inspect Operations Manning requirements.
The Operations Quality Control Inspector will provide feedback to academic and ground instructors to ensure high quality academic/ground training.
Conducts training/briefings to staff and students regarding contractually required material.
Assists the Chief of QC and IFT Department heads with Air Force Standards of Conduct processes and investigations as necessary.
The Quality Control Inspector must be knowledgeable and be able to assist with the Quality Control portion of the checklist for aircraft accident and incident investigations.
The Operations Inspector assists with contractor compliance regarding additional contract requirements including, On Time Grad Rate Analysis, 36-2909 training, End of Course Critique collection, and conducts contract data collection as assigned.

- Operations Quality Control Inspector has Knowledge that encompasses all aspects of Operations including stan/eval, scheduling, Supervisor of Flying, student training/sorties, new hire training/sorties, academic training, operations program management, GTIMS, gradebooks, primary and auxiliary fields operations, airspace, MACA, flight safety, on time graduation rates, standards of conduct, all Operations portions of the PWS for IFT, all syllabi, and FCF/OCF program and procedures.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Certified Flight Instructor with a minimum of 600 hours instructor time and a minimum of one year at CAE Doss Aviation, Inc is required.
- Must be able to fly new hires and student sorties on a regular basis.
- Current FAA CFI Certificate w/ Airplane Single Engine Land Privileges, Class III Medical.
- Experience relating to Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Standards and Evaluation or Management.
- Current IFT Supervisor of Flying (SOF) or able to be certified as a SOF in order to inspect the SOF Program from a position of knowledge and experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to learn and utilize systems such as GTIMS.
- Ability to conduct meetings and/or briefings in a professional manner.
- Professional writing abilities.
- Security Responsibilities
- Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.
