This is a rewarding mission you will be proud to support.You will design, develop, test, and integrate real-time weapon simulations for military training devices. This is a hands-on, full life cycle software engineering position for software engineers who desire to grow their skills and career beyond traditional boundaries while creating enduring solutions for a truly meaningful purpose.A successful candidate will display the following traits : Desire for continuous learning and growthAbility to apply knowledge to different contextsShow initiative when working assigned tasks and identifying previously unknown tasksMaintain focus when working individually or as a member of a teamFlight skills and an affinity for aviation not required – but this role will provide the opportunity for both!Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Develop scalable, high-fidelity software for real-time simulation and training applicationsDesign, develop, code, integrate and test simulation software to meet requirementsPerform integration and configuration of weapon simulationsFly real military flight simulators to conduct testing and evaluation of delivered softwareTroubleshoot and maintain existing simulation modelsApply software engineering principles to complete assigned tasks and schedule commitmentsParticipate in code reviews as author and reviewerCommunicate progress or needs along with solutions / recommendations to senior engineersDevelop software test procedures, software programs, and related documentationUtilize modeling tools to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate resultsQualifications and Education RequirementsB.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent experience requiredAbility to obtain and maintain a US Department of Defense Security ClearanceProgramming experience in at least one of the following languages : C / Fortran / AdaExperience with object-oriented programming concepts, techniques, and patternsExperience with various debugging approaches and toolsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to travel as needed (Domestic and International)Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this rolePreferred SkillsFamiliarity with dynamic modeling and flight simulationAgile software developmentGit / Jira / ConfluenceLinuxAI / MLCMakegdbPerlPythonDevOpsGame Development / Gaming Engines (Unreal, Unity, etc.)Security ResponsibilitiesMust comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures.
