Overview

CAES' Software Test Engineering group has a career growth opportunity available for a SOFTWARE ENGINEER . In this position you will design, develop, deploy, and maintain custom software solutions in a manufacturing environment. Applications range from single user applications to large multi-user applications and everything in between. This position plays a critical role in our site's success. This role is in San Diego, CA and there is no relocation available.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and DUTIES :

• Responsible for creating and maintaining test automation software for Radio Frequency (RF) / Microwave devices and systems.
• Support prototype design activities by developing applications for test interfaces.
• Create intuitive user interfaces to minimize multilingual operator errors and training.
• Design, code, integrate, test and maintain test modules for NI TestStand using LabVIEW, LabWindows / CVI, or C / C .
• Coordinate software development, integration and test validation activities between engineering and production.
• Control test equipment using standard SCPI commands.
• Interface with databases to store and analyze production test data.
• Contribute in reviews to ensure developed software meets specifications and deliverables are consistent with requirements.
• Document software designs and design changes.
• Submit and process change orders (ECOs) in company Product Life Management (PLM) system.

Salary Range : $106,013 - $201,542 annually (San Diego).

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
