Perform set-up, calibration, and perform RF measurements on Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuits (MMIC); assist in preparing technical documents such as test plans, assembly drawings, prepare bill of materials; test and troubleshoots RF/Analog circuits and/or assemblies; perform IC testing on a semi-automated probe station; perform RF characterization by measuring S-parameters, single tone power, and two-tone power measurements on MMIC assemblies. Perform various tasks in a laboratory including test, visual inspection and shipping; extensive work performed under a microscope.
- Perform on-wafer testing on MMIC power amplifiers, low-noise amplifiers, and signal control MMICs using a vector network analyzer.
- Ability to perform minor re-work on prototype microwave assemblies; handling die, wire-bonding, working with solder, epoxies and other assembly-related materials. Requires working under a microscope.
- Preparing drawings and technical documents to include: statistical analysis reports, generating test plans, assembly drawings, and product datasheets
- Support Engineering and production staff in the test, visual inspection of die, and product shipment.
- Obtain quotes from vendors, lead procurement, and assist with inventory and asset management
- Certificate in Electronics Technology, Associate’s degree in Electronics or equivalent experience
- 2 years using a Network Analyzer to perform s-parameter measurements of amplifiers or passive circuits
- Working with micro-electronics components requires some use of working under a microscope and excellent hand/finger dexterity.
- This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export law. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a "US Person" under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
PREFERRED:
- 3-4 years of RF test experience using power meters, spectrum analyzers, and RF signal sources
- 3 years experience using vector network analyzers (PNA/VNA)
- Advanced soldering techniques training
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills
- Familiar with using CAD tools such as AutoCAD of Gerber Viewers
- DoD work experience
Pay Range: $24.60 - $39.53 hourly (Richardson, TX).
