ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Director of Human Resources manages and ensures the efficient administration and management of all the Human Resources function. Thorough knowledge of Human Resources practices and procedures as well as considerable knowledge of State and Federal laws and regulations pertaining to Human Resources is required.

- Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups and managers, team members, clients, and customers.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to use good judgment in a confidential setting.
- Must have the ability to use and operate computer and software programs.

- Provides counseling and support to all personnel to ensure good team member relations
- Manage, train and lead Human Resources team to ensure skill development
- Support management by providing Human Resource advise, counsel and decisions

- HR Budgets – and compliance throughout the year

- Compensation and benefits administration:
- Performance management and improvement systems
- Organization development:
- Employment and compliance to regulatory concerns
- Team member orientation, development, and training
- Developing staffing strategies and implementing programs and plans. Identifying and cultivating effective and appropriate sources for team member for all job levels.
- Ensuring job description for every team member position is up-to-date and accurate.
- Policy development and documentation:
- Ensuring organizational conformation with applicable HR related regulations and statutes as well as organizational procedures and policies.
- Implementing HR programs and policies as needed by the organization.
- Team member relations:
- Company-wide committee facilitation
- Company team member and community communication
- Team member safety, welfare, wellness and health
- Team member services and counseling.
- Ensures compliance with statutory requirements and the execution of employment activities, in order to provide each department with the personnel, guidance, and support necessary to achieve their customer service and business objectives.
QUALFICATIONS
This person must have a minimum of ten (10) years of Human Resources experience in a casino and hotel environment. A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources area is preferred, but the completion of specialized Human Resources management or certification program is accepted. Five (5) years directly related management or supervisory work experience in Human Resources may be substituted for college/certification; or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
