SUMMARY: The Housekeeping Status Clerk keeps a running log of the status of guest rooms and notifies the necessary departments to let them know when a room is ready for check-in.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answer phones and log calls that are handled by the Housekeeping Department into a record book/computer log.
- Inform Executive Housekeepers and Guest Room Attendants of check-outs so that they can address the room.
- Inform Executive Housekeepers and Room Reservations/Front Desk personnel of clean/finished rooms for check-ins.
- Coordinate all guest requests during shift.
- Oversee Lost and Found calls and distributes.
- Assists in the follow up of guest complaints.
- Reports any room maintenance directly to Facility Operations.
- Assists with departmental key assignments.
- Responsible for daily turn-down items.
- Organizes departmental paperwork and files accordingly.
- Adheres to all Housekeeping procedures, House Rules, and Policies and Procedures.
- Provide Family Style Service to our guests.
- Other related duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Six months to one year related experience in a casino, and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must possess and be able to maintain the applicable regional Gaming card(s) and/or License(s), if any.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be able to effectively communicate in English; Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred.
Must be able to read and write simple lists, interoffice memorandums, and business correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
