Key Responsibilities:
- Familiarize yourself with the menu for each banquet function.
- Provide a sincere welcome and smile to every guest.
- Serve all food and non-alcoholic beverages using proper service techniques.
- Ensure glasses are kept filled throughout the meal.
- Remove soiled plates and utensils promptly.
- Complete pre-shift, running, and post-shift side-work requirements.
- Set dining tables to established standards, removing any dinnerware or linens that do not meet cleanliness and appearance expectations.
- Maintain a neat, clean, and organized environment for our guests.
- Responsible for maintaining required levels of supplies in the function room.
- Efficiently manage soiled dishes to the kitchen and clean supplies to the dining area.
- Responsible for complete table service.
- Adhere to all internal controls, policies, standards, and procedures.
- Understand performance expectations.
- Assist other servers in clearing, cleaning, and resetting tables.
- Provide courteous and friendly assistance to our guests.
- Be available to work additional hours on short notice to accommodate staffing emergencies, employee absences, fluctuating business levels, and special projects.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum one-year experience in food service required.
Work Environment:
- Must be able to work independently.
- Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods (minimum four hours).
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency while performing tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Must be able to maneuver throughout the casino, from floor to floor, either by stairways (minimum 20 steps) or escalator.
- Must be able to lift, carry, and/or push a minimum of 40 pounds.
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, bend, twist, turn, push, pull, grasp objects, and possess manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment.
- Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke, dust, loud noises, and bright lights.
- Must be able to work varied shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
