Our Product & Technology teams have built a proprietary sports betting and iGaming platform from the ground up in less than 3 years. Through continuous improvement and data-informed product development, we are adding features so that our customers have the best product experience in the market. Our Technology team is comprised of the brightest minds in Tech, and our culture of autonomy and decisiveness gives the team the freedom to deliver without constantly seeking permission to act. As a Solutions Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions that meet business and technical needs. You will work closely with engineering teams, product stakeholders, and leadership to translate complex requirements into robust architectural designs. Your expertise will guide the adoption of best practices and ensure alignment with the company’s strategic goals.
This role is a hybrid role where employees must be on-site 2-3 days per week. Candidates also must be willing to travel on-site to complete onboarding orientation as dictated by the hiring team.

What You Will Do
- Develop comprehensive architectural solutions that align with business objectives and technical requirements.
- Create and maintain detailed architectural documentation, including system design diagrams, and data flow models.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and meet performance and reliability standards.
- Collaborate with Tech Leads and engineering teams to guide implementation and resolve technical challenges.
- Provide hands-on support during critical phases of project delivery to ensure alignment with architectural standards.
- Partner with product, design, and business teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical designs.
- Communicate technical concepts and trade-offs effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and technical bottlenecks, proposing mitigation strategies as needed.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies, frameworks, and tools to enhance system capabilities.
- Engage with other Solutions Architects to maintain architectural standards to drive consistency and efficiency across the organization in partnership with the Director of Architecture.
- Support efforts to modernize legacy systems or address technical debt where needed.
- Monitor the growth and scale of underlying services and platforms, engaging with DevOps to maintain them via an agreed upon archiving and backup procedure.
- 5 years of architectural experience
- 6-9 years of progressive software engineering experience
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communicator with excellent collaboration skills across diverse teams.
- Extensive background in software engineering with a strong focus on architecture.
- Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (preferably AWS) and designing cloud-native applications.
- Expertise in designing and building APIs (REST and GraphQL).
- Strong experience with distributed systems, microservices, and containerization (Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures and messaging platforms such as Kafka.
- Proficiency in database technologies (relational and NoSQL) and data modeling.
