This role works directly with the various CS Connect Projects functions and the regional sales teams to develop winning strategies for multi-family countertop and surfacing projects. The Estimator is responsible for guiding regional sales teams in the development of bid packages to answer project owners’ Invitations to Bid/ Requests for Proposals (“ITB”/” RFP”) documents.
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will be comfortable and effective alternating between working in a team environment and focused individual tasks. She/he must possess strong planning and organizational skills, a driven personality capable of succeeding in a fast-paced setting, and comfortable with the demands of rapid growth and scale.
The Estimator is primarily responsible for managing and executing the large-scale project takeoff and bid package development through third-party vendors. Bid packages are for surfacing projects ranging in size, up to several million dollars in contract value. The Estimator will work with a pursuit third party takeoff company to manage large pursuit teams and will be responsible for the organization, scheduling and execution of the bid packages to be distributed to Head Estimator

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee and approve all estimation and take-off documents. Knowledgeable in all aspects of construction bid documents
- Establish delivery schedule and coordinate activities with the estimating takeoff team and regional development team members to effectively manage team resources
- Participate in the development of proposals with Head Estimator and support regional sales teams with all necessary information and assistance
- Work with the Project Coordinator and Project Manager to support construction project pre-qualification process to ensure compliance of bids. Be familiar with all ITB/RFP requirements and ensure that proposals are compliant
- Maintain archives of all proposal related information: prepared, won and lost
- Other duties as assigned
Job Skills & Abilities Guidelines
- Proven ability to read plans and drawings of large-scale construction projects and produce quality take-offs for the surfaces portion of the project.
- Proven high level competency with RFMS Measure or Plan Swift software knowledge
- Ability to work under time deadlines; ability to work under pressure
- Knowledge of proposal best practices to achieve winning proposals
- Strong interpersonal and team communication skills
- Ability to effectively manage toward a deadline with multiple competing resources
- Ability to work on a team in a collaborative environment
- Ability to be self-sufficient while adhering to best practices
