Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Leasing Consultant/Administrative Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for potential residents, showcasing our properties and assisting them in finding their ideal home. Your strong sales skills and customer service orientation will be essential in building relationships with prospective tenants and ensuring a seamless leasing experience. The ideal candidate will have a background in property management and Affordable Housing, with a keen ability to negotiate contracts and address any conflicts that may arise.
Responsibilities
- Greet potential residents and provide tours of available properties, highlighting key features and benefits.
- Assist prospective tenants in the application process, ensuring all necessary documentation is collected and submitted.
- Maintain accurate records of all leasing activities, including applications, contracts, and follow-ups.
- Collaborate with the property maintenance team to address tenant concerns and ensure properties are well-maintained.
- Utilize Entrata to track inquiries and manage tenant communications effectively.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing tenant inquiries, resolving conflicts, and fostering positive relationships within the community.
- Stay informed about local rental market trends to effectively position properties for leasing.
- Manage daily office operations, including scheduling appointments and maintaining calendars.
- Provide outstanding customer service by answering phone calls, responding to inquiries, and addressing resident and prospect needs effectively.
- Perform proofreading tasks to ensure accuracy in all written communications and documents.
- Maintain organized filing systems for both physical and digital documents.
- Support office management by ordering supplies, coordinating maintenance requests, and ensuring a clean work environment.
- Collaborate with team members on various projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sales or customer service; previous experience as a Leasing Consultant in Affordable Housing is required.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in office software applications; experience with property management software is advantageous.
- Ability to manage conflicts professionally while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for managing multiple tasks efficiently.
