About Us

We are a well-established, privately held real estate developer managing a diverse portfolio of over 90 entities. Our projects span residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. As an integral part of our success, the Controller will ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations while navigating the intricacies of multi-entity accounting and tax filings.

Position Summary

As Controller, you will oversee all accounting activities, including reporting, compliance, and tax preparation. You will lead a talented accounting team and collaborate with management to support company-wide decisions and strategic initiatives. This is a critical leadership role requiring analytical skills as well as tax knowledge. You will report to the Director of Accounting.

Key Responsibilities

• Accounting Management: Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets and other areas across multiple business entities.
• Tax Compliance: Prepare and review federal and state business tax returns, including partnerships, S corporations, and corporations.
• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and efficiency.
• Controls: Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure integrity of all financial systems, processes and data.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Certified Public Accounting designation preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Expertise in accounting software and advanced knowledge of Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Exceptional communication and leadership abilities.
