Position Overview
The Cafe13 AGM is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the cafe, ensuring that it runs smoothly and efficiently. They help the GM oversee all aspects of the cafe’s operations, from hiring and training staff to managing inventory and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. They are an integral part of the leadership team at all times, especially when the GM is not present.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain an impeccably safe, clean, and organized store, including storage areas, customer-facing areas, barista front-of-house, and the kitchen/back-of-house.
- Ensure the highest level of efficiency for beverage and kitchen production and overall customer experience through attention to detail.
- Supports the GM when they implement changes. Support the GM in high-level communication to ensure proper execution of daily operations, changes, and expectations. Communicate store goals and objectives to the entire team.
- Resolve customer complaints and issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the GM which might include: schedule writing, ordering/inventory management, etc.

Work History Qualifications
- Possesses a high degree of proficiency in the following dimensions of restaurant functions: food planning and purchasing, sanitation and security, personnel management, front and back of house operations, and barista and bartender functions.
- Proven history of providing world-class hospitality
- Exhibits exceptional skill in recruiting and hiring skilled, diligent staff.
- Must obtain Manager ServSafe Certification upon hire.
- Minimum of two years of management experience.
- Must consent to a background check.

Working Conditions
- The expectation is 40-50 hours of work per week. The position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting products and supplies weighing 50 pounds, and repetitive hand and wrist motion. Work involves using hot, cold, and hazardous equipment, as well as operating phones, computers, copiers, and other office equipment.
- The AGM must be trained in all areas of the business, including the kitchen, coffee bar, and register.
- Flexibility is expected to handle call outs and other disruptions to normal business operations.
Compensation and Benefits
- This is a salaried position that offers an annual compensation from $50-65,000 depending on experience. Tips are never expected or accepted in this role.
